Junior to Mid-Level Environmental Professional
Job Description: Ayuda Companies is hiring a Junior to Mid-Level Environmental Professional. The Junior to Mid-Level Professional should be an engineer, geologist, or scientist with 3 to 7 years’ experience in the environmental field. The opportunity is a full-time position based out of our Denver headquarters. The Junior to Mid-Level professional will provide environmental support for commercial and government clients; develop work plans and supporting documentation; prepare and review technical investigation and remedial activity reports, support and participate in field work, and support cost estimate and proposals.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Position may involve performing other duties as required, which may not be mentioned below. Specific functions may change from time to time.
Prepare technical work plans for environmental investigation and remediation projects; prepare technical documents including but not limited to Quality Assurance Project Plans per Uniform Federal Policy guidelines, Remedial Investigation Reports, Feasibility Studies, RCRA Facility Investigation Reports, RCRA Corrective Measures Studies; provide technical support on environmental investigation and remediation projects; provide technical support to environmental construction projects, including preparing designs and reviewing contractor submittals and requests for information; perform and oversee environmental sample collection (soil, groundwater, air, vapor); assist in the oversight and management of subcontractors retained to perform investigatory and remedial activities, but not limited to various drilling methods (auger, direct-push), soil and groundwater remediation, UST/AST management; assist Project Managers with the management/coordination/review of subcontractors, budgets and schedules; assistance in the preparation of technical proposals for environmental investigation and remediation projects, including the preparation of cost proposals for the work.
Experience, Education and Skills Required:
Experience with environmental compliance, investigation, and remediation projects under various regulatory programs including, but not limited to: Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA); Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA); Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA); Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA); Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA); National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA); Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS); Leaking Underground Storage Tanks (USTs)/Above Ground Storage Tanks (ASTs); Federal project experience; Knowledge of fundamental site safety protocols; PFAS Investigation; Brownfields Development; Skill(s) in a technical area, which may include, but aren’t restricted to groundwater modeling, risk assessment, in situ biodegradation, etc.
The Junior to Mid-Level Professional must have or take OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training. Travel will be required, estimated at approximately 20%.
